Springfield, Illinois

Big Ger's been dying to take us to the new Lincoln Museum (OK, it's not that new... but new to us) in Springfield, Illinois.  We packed Aunts Helen and Louise into the car and headed for the land of, uh, Lincoln.

The museum is really well-done and quite moving.  I sorta don't really feel like going into all of it, but it does that amazing man justice.  And it's quite modern and still bright and shiny.  A *new* museum--imagine!

Here's one of me and that dastardly John Wilkes Booth.  Looks kinda like Byron, hmm?  Too bad he was such a bad seed because that cape is alll-right!

Me and the fam.  Yeah, we totally waited our turn to take this picture.

Look!  It's Frank Lloyd Wright's Dana Thomas House!

It's real nice.

What was left of caramelized brussels sprouts with bacon and pecans.

A cat taco!
