This guy...

is continually over-watered, under-watered (like the time I was in China for 2 weeks and left it home to die), or forgotten beside a window with the curtains drawn.  (Cruel, I know.  It's close enough to reach out a branch and push aside the curtain itself.  But independent movement's a real bitch.)  Yet despite its continued mistreatment (Cochino also used to gnaw on it), it thrives.

I really should take better care of it.  But maybe it wouldn't like being pampered?
